A lot of you who are from India and planning to be a scientist of a lecturer in the field of environmental sciences have to go through NTA NET exam. This exam is conducted by the national testing agency and is one of the average patterned exam for those who study even a little bit of it
(Little bit means at least 50-60% syllabus). Further this exam is divided into two papers: Paper 1 constituting of general teaching and research aptitude along with some numerical, verbal and logical reasoning and Paper 2 constituting of 10 units of environmental science listed below:
UNIT 1- Fundamentals of Environmental Sciences

UNIT 5- Energy and Environment
UNIT 6- Environmental Pollution and Control
UNIT 7- Solid and Hazardous Waste Management
UNIT 8- Environmental Assessment, Management and Legislation

These all topics of paper 2 are those that must be known in great details to every student going for this exam. These topics are given in detailed form in the following books:

For paper 1 no doubt the best book is K V S Madan: NTA UGC NET/SLET/JRF- Paper 1: Teaching and Research Aptitude.
Now just 1 month is left so still most of syllabus can be covered. So without loosing any hope you should pick up the old question papers and just start. It might be a bit confusing to start as to decide where to begin. so better go for previous papers first and find out your weak points and work on them. I will try to upload most of matter related to paper 2 as soon as possible.
Loads of Luck and Love coming your way. Don't loose hope and keep excelling. Even failures are stepping you towards success.
